WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

In order to ensure that the Organization's activity is carried out in the protection of Health and Safety, not only in conservative terms, but as an enhancement of the same, the Management defines as reference principles of its SSL Policy:

Commitment to prevention, elimination of dangers and reduction of risks

  • Responsible management of the Site by conducting its activities in full protection of the Health and Safety of workers. 
  • Planning of investments necessary for the proper functioning of the systems, machines, equipment and all infrastructures in general. 
  • Providing its employees with infrastructures suitable for the activity to be carried out and with all the necessary personal and collective protection devices, also with regard to their ergonomic needs.
  • The planning and implementation of any changes, taking into account, as of primary importance, the safety aspects.

Commitment to compliance with the Law

  • Compliance with the laws and regulations in force in the country of operation.
  • The provision of training required by law, integrating it with specific company issues.

Commitment to continuous improvement

  • The systematic assessment of site safety, through the implementation of a monitoring system, on the basis of which to implement continuous improvement actions.
  • The promotion of continuous improvement of the health and safety conditions of the site, preliminarily ensuring full compliance with laws and regulations.

Consultation and participation of workers and third parties

  • Information, training and awareness of all personnel on the Safety management system and its application within the Organization. 
  • Promotion at every level, with an adequate degree of safety, of a widespread sense of proactivity so that a sharing process is effective that tends to improve awareness of the role that each person plays. 
  • Communication with customers, suppliers, contractors and the population to improve site safety. 
  • Communication with the competent public authorities to establish and update emergency and safety procedures.

The tool chosen for the pursuit of its Policy by the Organization is a Safety Management System compliant with the UNI ISO 45001 ed. 2018 standard.
